Bloomington Human Services Division provides services for youth, families, older adults, immigrants and people with disabilities. We ensure human services needs are met though involving our citizens and networking providers in a variety of program areas including activities, nutrition, transportation, volunteerism, support services, Americans with Disabilities Accessibility, and facility rentals.

The City of Bloomington, a council-manager form of government, employs a full-time staff of more than 500. Fiscally, the City maintains the highest triple A bond ratings from both Standard & Poor's and Moody's. Our main campus is located at the corner of 98th Street and West Old Shakopee Road.

Since 1968, the Bloomington Human Rights Commission has advised the City Council and the Bloomington School Board on human rights issues. The Commission also has recognized community members for their outstanding efforts in the area of human rights.

Bloomington Motor Vehicle has been serving the citizens of Bloomington since 1971. Like a private business, it’s a self-supporting operation; the processing fees collected from transactions stay in Bloomington. Services include: vehicle title transfers, driver’s license renewals and duplicates, passport application acceptance and photos, DNR (boats, snowmobile and ATV) transactions.
